Boost #93 The Signature

Do not take the name of HaShem (the Lord) , your God, in vain

Artists sign their names at the bottom of their work.

That signature doesn’t just mark the corner of the canvas—it declares authorship over the entire creation. A small name in one place tells you who shaped every brushstroke, every color, every detail.

God signed HIs name as the Creator of the universe in the first sentence of the Torah … “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” But, His authorship stretches across the whole canvas of existence. God’s “name” appears in the world through the wonder, beauty, and meaning embedded in everything. With this in mind, the Rabbis instituted 100 blessings a day.

A person who lives with this awareness becomes more sensitive, more awake, seeing the divine in every moment and every encounter, filling it with care.

One time this week, say a blessing with the intention of recognizing God’s name in and on everything.

Set your intention for the day by reciting The Aseret Affirmation: Ten for Ten first thing in the morning.

Wishing you safety and strength,
